CookieRun: Kingdom Act 2 is set for May 2026 launch

Devsisters says CookieRun: Kingdom Act 2 is scheduled to launch in May 2026, with the next major story chapter set to push the game into what the company describes as its biggest conflict yet.
Act 2 will center on a fractured timeline
According to Devsisters, Act 2 begins after a catastrophic event shatters the world’s timeline, setting off a war that spreads across multiple timelines. The company says the new chapter is designed as a major escalation for CookieRun: Kingdom’s story, with higher stakes for the world of Earthbread and the characters already involved in the current arc.
Devsisters has also said the main story update cadence will change once Act 2 begins. Instead of releasing new main story content every four weeks, the company says it plans to move to a two-week cycle.
The current story arc points toward Dark Enchantress Cookie
The setup for Act 2 follows the game’s recent anniversary storyline. In the official February 12 update announcement for Episode 14: The Convergence of Fates, Devsisters said the Cookie Alliance had reached the Beast-Yeast continent and was advancing toward Dark Enchantress Cookie’s stronghold. That update was described as part two of a three-part anniversary story arc.
That places Act 2 as the next major step after the current story’s march toward Dark Enchantress Cookie, rather than a separate side event. The official reveal also suggests the game’s next chapter will widen the scale of the conflict rather than simply extend the existing regional storyline.
Devsisters has not shared the full breakdown yet
So far, Devsisters has not published an exact May launch date, a full gameplay trailer focused on Act 2, or a complete list of new playable Cookies tied to the update. The company’s more recent April 8 CookieRun: Kingdom announcement instead focused on the KPop Demon Hunters collaboration that is currently live in the game through May 6.
Act 2 is coming in May 2026. The story will revolve around a fractured timeline and multi-timeline war, and the main story schedule is set to speed up once the new chapter begins.
