CookieRun: OvenSmash launches globally as new Braverse booster set arrives

Devsisters has announced two new CookieRun releases: the global launch of CookieRun: OvenSmash for iOS and Android, and the March 27 release of A Game of Truth and Deceit, the latest booster set for the CookieRun: Braverse trading card game.
The company says the CookieRun franchise has now reached more than 300 million cumulative players worldwide. The two launches expand the brand in different directions, with OvenSmash introducing real-time PvP action and Braverse receiving a major card expansion.
CookieRun: OvenSmash launches on mobile
CookieRun: OvenSmash is described as the franchise’s first real-time PvP battle action game. Players build teams of Cookies and compete in short online matches, controlling characters directly and using movement, attacks, role-based abilities, and Spell Cards during combat. Devsisters says matches average around three minutes.
The game includes six modes, including Castle Crasher, a 3v3 team battle mode; Wild Royale, a battle royale mode; and Smash Fight, described as a death match mode. Players can choose from roles including Tank, Bruiser, Assassin, Marksman, Mage, Bomber, Controller, and Support.
Spell Cards, such as Sticky Trap and Dragon Summoner, add additional effects during battles. Outside of combat, the game is set in Platter City, an urban-fantasy setting built around the Oven Crown Cup tournament, with shops, social spaces, character collection, and costume customization. Devsisters says more than 3 million players pre-registered ahead of launch.
Braverse gets a new expansion
The second release is A Game of Truth and Deceit, the newest booster set for CookieRun: Braverse, Devsisters’ tabletop trading card game. The expansion adds 243 regular cards and 61 hidden cards, along with new mechanics, themes, and character variants.
One of the main additions is the Extra Card mechanic, which lets players place certain cards onto Cookies already in play or bring them in ready for immediate use. The set also introduces two new themes, Realm of Apathy and Land of Fire & Ruin, as well as an Extra Deck system that gives players a separate pool of cards to build around before a match.
Devsisters says the expansion also broadens support across Braverse’s five-color system, which covers offense, recovery, control, disruption, and resource-based play. Shadow Milk Cookie also appears in variants across all five colors.
Availability March 27
CookieRun: OvenSmash is available now as a free download on the App Store and Google Play. A Game of Truth and Deceit reaches participating hobby retailers and game stores on March 27.
For mobile players, CookieRun: OvenSmash joins a growing list of games trying to bring faster, session-friendly action to phones, alongside upcoming titles such as Ubisoft’s The Division Resurgence, which is also aiming to turn a well-known franchise into a more competitive, pick-up-and-play mobile experience.
