CookieRun: Braverse TCG has crowned its first world champion after the franchise’s inaugural World Championship ran on April 11 and 12 at S-Factory in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong district. The event brought together 18 players from 10 regions, with Devsisters and Korean coverage describing it as the game’s biggest global tournament to date.

Christian Jay Quintana of the Philippines took the title after beating Taiwan’s Jo Yung Chen in the final by a 2-1 set score. Korean event coverage said the two finalists split the opening two sets before Quintana closed out the decider, while South Korea’s Park Sang-jin finished third.

The win came with the championship trophy, a five-don gold coin (roughly $2,860 at the time of publication), a winner's playmat, and a 2025-26 World Championship promo card for the champion. The runner-up and third-place finishers also received commemorative promo cards, gold-coin prizes, acrylic plaques, and finishing playmats.

More than a tournament for the CookieRun fanbase

The Seoul event was staged as both a competition and a broader offline fan gathering. More than 2,000 visitors reportedly came through the venue on the first day alone, while fans also had access to beginner lessons, card-collecting missions, a Roblox-based 3D experience zone, drawing activities, stamp-rally rewards, and other audience participation programs.

Devsisters had already positioned the championship as a free-entry public event with side formats such as 1v1 Brave League matches and 2-on-2 play, alongside on-site merch and TCG retail booths. That broader setup fits the company’s 2026 push to expand CookieRun through offline experiences as well as games, with the franchise now spanning mobile titles, a physical card game, merchandise, and live events.

Shadow Milk momentum helps the card game’s latest push

The timing also lines up with the recent expansion of the card game itself. In late March, Devsisters rolled out the Braverse booster set A Game of Truth and Deceit, while outside coverage noted that the release introduced new “Shadow Milk Cookie” variants. On-site event reporting from Seoul said Shadow Milk-themed merchandise was among the items that sold out during the championship weekend.

That combination of a fresh set release, a first world championship, and a strong live turnout gives Braverse a clearer competitive identity than it had even a few months ago. For Devsisters, the weekend looked less like a one-off spectacle and more like proof that CookieRun’s card-game arm can support both organized play and a growing fan-event business around it.

Readers who want to see the full tournament can watch the complete finals broadcast in the video below. The stream was hosted by YouTuber HyRoolLegend, who covered the event as a shoutcaster for the first time, offering a full look at the championship match and the atmosphere in Seoul.
