Casio’s unusual G-Shock GA-V01 watch now available in pink

The Casio G-Shock GA-V01-4A has launched in China. This is the fifth digital watch in the GA-V01 series, which was released globally earlier in 2025. Rumors about this pink version started in June.

In China, the Casio G-Shock GA-V01-4A watch retails for CNY 990 (~$138). This makes it the same price as the GA-V01-1A (black), GA-V01-2A (blue-purple) and the GA-V01-9A (neon-yellow) watches. In this market, the fifth version, the GA-V01-8A (silver), is slightly more expensive at CNY 1,090 (~$152).

In several product images, some of which are AI-generated, the GA-V01-4A is shown with a hot pink resin casing, bezel and strap. It has the same chunky bezel design and distinctive black ‘eyes’, the LCD display, as the older variants. Plus, it features a light pink hour hand, Shock Release minute hand and dial indicator. This watch supports world time, with 31 time zones on offer, and has tools like a stopwatch, timer, and alarms. It is said to run for around 10 years on a CR2025 battery and is water resistant to 200 m.

Whether or when this colorway will be released in other markets like the US is unclear. Here, the GAV01-1A retails for $140 (Amazon marketplace). Two more colorways are expected to be released at a later date: the GA-V01-7A (white) and the GA-V01A-9A (gold).
