New Casio MTP-B146G retro metal watches launching in the UK

Two new Casio Standard watches are about to launch in the UK: the MTP-B146G-3AVEF and the MTP-B146G-9AVEF. These analog timepieces were unveiled earlier this year and are already available in countries like the Republic of Korea.

Now, the Casio MTP-B146G-3AV (green face) and MTP-B146G-9AV (gold face) watches have been listed on the ‘Coming Soon’ page at the brand’s online store in the UK. At the time of writing, the price and release date of these products have yet to be announced. In South Korea, they retail for ￦ 155,000 (~$112/£82). Plus, the all-gold version is available in the US at Amazon Marketplace for $109.

Described as featuring a retro design inspired by the 1980s, these Casio MTP collection watches have a gold ion plated stainless steel casing and band. The colored dial features three hands for the hour, minute and second, and there is a day display at the 12 o’clock position. According to Casio, the analog watches should remain accurate to within 20 seconds each month, and are water resistant to 50 m. 

Each measures 40.8 x 35 x 8 mm (~1.6 x 1.4 x 0.3 inches) and weighs 85 g (~3.0 oz). It remains to be seen when the Casio MTP-B146G-3AVEF and MTP-B146G-9AV watches will be released in the UK, and whether they could reach other European countries.
