Casio has announced that three new G-Shock GM-2100 Series watches are about to be released in more European countries. The GBM-2100A-2B, GBM-2100A-4B and GBM-2100A-8B analog-digital timepieces were launched in July and are already available in the UK and Japan.
In countries like the Netherlands, Spain and Germany, the GBM-2100A-2B (blue dial, positive LCD display), the GBM-2100A-4B (burgundy dial and inverted LCD display) and the GBM-2100A-8B (light yellow gold-tone dial and inverted LCD display) are listed at the brand’s online store for €249. They are said to be coming soon, with prospective customers invited to sign up to the brand’s mailing list to be notified of their release via email.
Casio’s G-Shock G-Steel GBM-2100A watches are described as “slim and stylish” with a streamlined design. Each features a patterned face with a vapor-deposition finish, surrounded by a stainless steel bezel. They have a resin strap and casing, measuring 9.3 x 44.4 x 11.9 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches) and weighing 72 g (~2.5 oz).
These GM-2100 Series watches have two analog hands, an inset display showing the date and a small indicator dial linked to various features. These include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. The timepieces also support world time, Tough Solar charging and Bluetooth-based Smartphone Link.
Whether or when these Casio G-Shock G-Steel GBM-2100A watches could be officially released in North America remains to be seen. Here, older models like the GBM2100A-1A2 (blue patterned dial) are available at Amazon for $212.99.
