Casio releasing popular G-Shock DW-5600KHK25-1DR watch in the UK

The Casio G-Shock DW-5600KHK25-1DR watch is on the way to the UK. This model was announced for the Japanese market in January 2025 alongside the DW-5600KHG24-1. Here, it proved incredibly popular, selling out multiple times.

Casio recently listed the G-Shock DW-5600KHK25-1DR at its UK online store. Confusingly, the price shown underneath the product name is £99.90, but the price listed in the ‘Specifications’ section is £229. It is said to be coming soon, though the exact release date is not given. Instead, potential customers are encouraged to sign up to receive an email alert of its launch.

The DW-5600KHK25-1DR, also known as the DW-5600KHK25-1 or the DW-5600KHK24-1JR, has a design by Japanese Edo-period artist Katsushika Hokusai. Inspired by the woodblock print ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’, the frame around the digital display shows waves and Mount Fuji. The patterned face is accompanied by a black resin casing and strap, with the watch measuring 48.9 x 42.8 x 13.4 mm (~1.9 x 1.7 x 0.5 inches) and weighing 52 g (~1.8 oz).

Features of the 5600 Series watch include hourly time signals, flash alerts and a multifunctional alarm. Plus, there is a countdown timer with a 24-hour range and a 1/100th second stopwatch. A white LED backlight helps you to read the digital display in low lighting, and users can choose between 12 and 24 hour formats. On top of this, this model is water resistant to 200 m and should run for around five years on a replaceable battery.

It remains to be seen how much the Casio G-Shock DW-5600KHK25-1DR watch will cost in the UK. At the time of writing, this Katsushika Hokusai x G-Shock watch has not been confirmed for release in any other European countries.
