The Casio AQ-230A-1DM, a Vintage series watch, has been released in the US. This hybrid timepiece has a black and silver design, similar to an older product, with a stainless steel bracelet and a slim casing. Features include support for world time, a stopwatch and a daily alarm.

Casio has released the Vintage AQ230A-1DM watch in the US. This hybrid watch becomes the fourth in the brand’s current range of AQ230A timepieces in this market. It has a similar black and silver design to the older AQ230A-1DS (curr. $44.95 at Amazon Marketplace).

The AQ230A-1DM has a black watch face, featuring two analog hands indicating the hour and the minute. There is also a slim, positive (light background) digital display in the 6 o’clock position. The watch has a chrome-plated resin casing and bezel, measuring 38.8 x 29.8 x 8.1 mm (~1.5 x 1.2 x 0.3 inches). It weighs 47 g (~1.7 oz) and comes with a stainless steel band with an adjustable clasp.

Casio’s AQ230A-1DM supports dual time, with users able to choose between 12 and 24 hours formats on the digital display. The display can also show the month, date and day. Tools include a 1/100th second stopwatch, a daily alarm and hourly time signals. Plus, Casio indicates that the timepiece should remain accurate to within 30 seconds each month, with a fully automatic calendar. Powered by an SR920W battery, this water resistant watch should run for around three years.

You can now buy the Casio Vintage AQ230A-1DM watch in the US for $59.95 at the brand’s online store. Whether or when this hybrid timepiece could be released in other markets, such as Europe, is unclear.
