Casio has revealed two limited edition calculators inspired by the work of Katsushika Hokusai. The JF-M200-TJ-KHK and JF-M200-TJ-KHG arrive around a year after the brand announced two DW-5600 watches (€119 at Casio Store DE), which also celebrated the Edo period artist.
The Casio JF-M200-TJ-KHK has a design based on The Great Wave off Kanagawa, with a blue wave on a beige background. Meanwhile, the JF-M200-TJ-KHG is inspired by the piece Fine Wind, Clear Morning, with a blue and orange image of Mount Fuji. In both cases, the casing and keycaps have been inkjet printed, with the key font chosen to match the ukiyo-e art genre.
Casio’s JF-M200-TJ desk calculators have a slanted LCD screen for enhanced legibility. There are a total of 31 keys, with support for tax and time calculations. You can view up to 12 digits on the display, with decimal and rounding selector settings. The model offers grand total (GT) and independent memory, and the battery life can be extended using the integrated solar panel.
In Japan, the Casio JF-M200-TJ-KHK and JF-M200-TJ-KHG calculators will retail for ¥5,500 (~$35) when they are released on January 22nd. These two products have also been listed on the brand’s international website, suggesting that they will also be sold in other countries at some point in the future.
