Casio has launched the new G-Shock GMA-P2100 Touch of Blue series watches in Japan. Also confirmed for release in other global markets, the three variants have the following model numbers: the GMA-P2100BA-1A, the GMA-P2100BA-2A and the GMA-P2100BA-7A.
The G-Shock GMA-P2100 is a compact watch with a minimalist design. It is a hybrid model with two analog hands, accurate to within 15 seconds each month. On the inset digital display, users can view the month, date and day, with the calendar fully automatic to the year 2099. You can choose from 31 time zones, and there is a daylight saving time mode. These watches are equipped with tools like hourly time signals, five daily alarms, a countdown timer and a 1/100th second stopwatch.
Other features include a double LED backlight, illuminating the face at the touch of a button, and 200 m water resistance. Each version has a resin casing and a matching strap. The GMA-P2100BA-1A is black with blue accents, and the GMA-P2100BA-2A is marine blue with white accents, both with a negative display. Meanwhile, the GMA-P2100BA-7A is ivory white with blue accents and has a positive display.
In Japan, the Casio G-Shock GMA-P2100BA watches are now available for ¥17,600 (~$111) each. While all three versions are listed on the brand’s official international website, it is unclear when they will be released in other countries like the US and Germany.
