Casio launching three new square-shaped digital watches

Casio has unveiled three new G-Shock Baby-G square-shaped BGD-565 watches in Japan. Also listed on the brand’s international website, pointing to a wider global rollout, these are described as “balletcore” digital watches.
The new Casio Baby-G BGD-565SC watches each have a pearlescent dial with angular resin casing and a matching strap. The BGD-565SC-1 has a soft purple dial around a typical (light background, dark figures) display, with a matte dark gray case and strap. The BGD-565SC-2B has a blue dial with the same display and white casing. The BGD-565SC-4B is an all pink model, with a pink dial, a pink background display and pink casing.
Casio’s Baby-G BGD-565 is a shock resistant watch with 100 m water resistance, measuring 42.1 x 37.9 x 11.3 mm (~1.66 x 1.49 x 0.44 inches). On the display, users can view the time, date and day information, with a fully automatic calendar to the year 2099. The model offers features like a countdown time, hourly time signals, a multi-function alarm and a 1/100th second stopwatch. Plus, an LED backlight can be used to illuminate the display on demand, and it has a three year battery life estimate.
In Japan, the Casio Baby-G BGD-565SC-1, BGD-565SC-2B and BGD-565SC-4B watches will launch later in March 2026 with an RRP of ¥10,450 (~$66). The brand’s international website also points to a March 2026 release, though further details have yet to be confirmed. As a guide to its price in Europe, the older BGD-565U-1 retails for €79.90 (Casio Store Germany).
