The new Honor MagicBook Pro 14 2026 left a very good impression in our in-depth review and offers a great overall package. This also includes the new Panther Lake processor from Intel, the Core Ultra 5 338H in combination with the Arc B370 GPU (10 Xe cores). The overall performance is a bit lower compared to the Core Ultra X7 or X9 models with the Arc B390 (12 Xe cores), but the MagicBook has a powerful cooling solution with decent power limits (65/50 Watts). This also means that the Arc B370 is actually not much slower compared to rivals like the Dell XPS 14 with the Core Ultra X7 358H, where the power limits are specified at 67/30 Watts.
This means you have to differentiate between comparatively short benchmark and the actual gaming performance, where sustained performance is more important. Looking at the synthetic GPU benchmarks, for example, the Arc B390 is around 15 % faster than the Arc B370.

The situation changes when you play games, where the higher sustained power limit of the MagicBook Pro 14 is more important, and both models are actually pretty much on par in our default benchmarks with a marginal deficit of 3 % for the Arc B370. Our 30-minute loop of Cyberpunk 2077 also shows that the XPS 14 is a bit faster in the first couple of minutes, but then levels off at the same fps number.

The Arc B390 at the same power limits would obviously be faster than the Arc B370, but our comparison shows that the cooling performance is still an important factor for compact laptops and the processor or the iGPU alone does not tell the whole story.
This is also good news if you are interested in the new Honor MagicBook Pro 14, because you can also get it with the high-end Panther Lake chip Core Ultra X9 388H including the fast Arc B390 GPU. Contrary to the XPS 14, the MagicBook can utilize the full performance potential of the B390. Please see our review of the new MagicBook Pro 14 for more information.
