New full-carbon Casio G-Shock GCW-B5000 leak hints at return with price set to exceed predecessor

A new variant of the Casio G-Shock GCW-B5000 has reportedly been registered in an international certification database - this means another full-carbon square could launch later this year. According to Japanese blog Great G-Shock World, fresh data entries linked to the "GCW-B5000" have been spotted, implying to a high likelihood of a 2026 release. While no official announcement has been made, database registration typically precedes commercial launches.
The original GCW-B5000 debuted in November 2023 as part of G-Shock's 40th anniversary lineup. It was pretty important, since it was the brand’s first and only full-carbon square, using forged carbon for both the case and bracelet. The watch featured Tough Solar, Multi Band 6 radio reception, and Bluetooth connectivity, which puts it at the top of the digital range. At launch, the GCW-B5000 carried a price of ¥297,000 (~$1,892) in Japan.
The new report, however, claims that, due to rising material costs, the upcoming model is "almost certain" to exceed ¥300,000 (~$1,912). However, this pricing detail is still speculative, and no confirmed retail figure has surfaced.
If accurate, a new GCW-B5000 would mark a continuation of Casio’s premium carbon experiment in the square format. For now, the information is based solely on database listings, and further details - including design changes or regional availability - have yet to be confirmed.
