New upcoming premium Casio MR-G MRG-B5000 watch reportedly registered in global database

The new Casio G-Shock GCW-B5000 model isn't the only one popping up in certification databases - Great G-Shock World has also reported on another new addition to the MR-G MRG-B5000 lineup being identified in an international certification database. An unannounced MRG-B5000 variant has appeared in official records. While no specifications or images have surfaced, it is quite clear that development has progressed beyond the concept stage, and we could see a launch as early as 2026 itself.
The MRG-B5000 first launched in March 2022, during the height of the pandemic, as a fully metal reinterpretation of the original 1983 DW-5000C design. The watch is built in Japan with premium materials and finished using high-level polishing techniques - this model helped step up MR-G’s visibility domestically. It also marked one of the first serious pushes of MR-G through online sales channels.
Current standard-production variants, such as the MRG-B5000B-1JR, retail around ¥495,000 (~$3,154) in Japan. Casio has also released limited editions, including the MRG-B5000HT-1JR, which was capped at 500 pieces worldwide and quickly sold out in Japan. As of writing, it is unclear whether the newly registered model will join the regular lineup or be a special limited-edition. The source suggests that, given the saturation of core colorways, a limited release may be more likely - though this info should be taken with a grain of salt.
For now, the only confirmed detail is the existence of a new MRG-B5000 entry in certification records. Casio has not issued an official announcement.
