Call of Duty and Monster Energy are back with yet another partnership, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 7-themed cans are already hitting store shelves, offering players the chance to redeem in-game rewards before the game’s rumored November 14, 2025, launch.
The promotional cans were spotted by CharlieIntel on X on July 27, 2025, showcasing cans adorned with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s logo. Previously, the promotion featured Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 promotional cans with redeemable codes printed under the silver pull tab. Players could log in to their Activision account, head to the callofduty.com/redeem website, and redeem their promotional code.
The rewards featured 15-minute double XP tokens per can with a total 40-hour cap, equating to 160 cans or over $300. The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Monster Energy promotion also rewarded players with an in-game weapon blueprint, three operator skins, and an in-game weapon vinyl. Moreover, Walmart purchases offered players both weapon and level progression double XP tokens.
However, the Monster Energy promotion for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has officially ended as Activision moves forward to the next entry in the franchise. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 was officially teased on June 19, 2025, coincidentally the same date as “Cordis Die” in Black Ops 2’s storyline, when the formerly named terrorist group, led by Raul Menendez, attacked Los Angeles.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is slated for a full reveal at Gamescom 2025 on August 19. It’s a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6, set in 2035. The game marks the return of Alex Mason’s son, David Mason, and teases a psychologically mind-bending co-op campaign and new multiplayer maps.
Moreover, we will see the continuation of the Dark Aether Zombies storyline, following the events of “The Reckoning” at Janus Towers, which is expected to release on August 7 with Black Ops 6 Season 5.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 was critically acclaimed at launch, becoming the best-selling premium game not only in December, but throughout 2024 as a whole. As of October 2024, Call of Duty has made 500 million lifetime sales, including both digital and physical releases of titles in its franchise.
According to SteamDB, Black Ops 6 hit an all-time peak of 315,334 players on October 28, 2024, and currently maintains a healthy 24-hour peak of 79,458 players at the time of writing.
