Boox planning four new devices including Palma 3 and a likely successor to the Tab Mini C

Onyx-owned Boox has had a pretty eventful year so far, launching products such as the Tappy Bluetooth Page Turner (read our review), the Boox Note X6, the China-exclusive Poke 7 series, and the second generation Boox Go 6. However, it isn't done for the year as a report says it has at least four new devices on the way.
According to a report by Good Ereader, Boox has four devices in development, excluding the upcoming 4-inch e-reader called Picco that was in the news in July. The new devices are reported to include the Boox Palma 3, Boox Note Air6 C, Boox Tab Elite, and Boox Note Mini C.
Boox Palma 3 and Note Air6 C
The Boox Palma 3 is expected to be a follow-up to the Palma 2 released in October 2024. Like its predecessors, it should have a smartphone's form factor but feature an upgraded Carta 1300 ePaper display. It is also expected to have a faster processor. While the Palma 3 will probably not get a RAM (and storage) upgrade considering the ongoing RAMageddon, we hope it won't launch with less RAM than its predecessor.
The Note Air5 C is also reported to be due for a successor, although it is still a few months away from its first year anniversary. Expected to launch as the Note Air6 C, one of the rumored upgrades is that it will ship with Android 16 out of the box, which should bring a better overall user experience.
Boox Tab Elite and Note Mini C
On the other hand, there's Boox Tab Elite, a new model that should launch under the Tab series. No technical details of this device have been revealed, but there are speculations it is a high-performance model designed for more productive work. This means, like the Boox Tab X C, it should serve as a replacement for a laptop.
The last but not the least is the Boox Note Mini C. There are no details of this device either, but it has been suggested that it might be a replacement for the Boox Tab Mini C which was released in 2023 and is now out of stock. If that is the case, the Note Mini C may have a stylus-supported color ePaper display that's larger than that of the Go Color 7 Gen II ($289.99 on Amazon), but under 10-inches in size.
We don't know when exactly these devices will be released. However, in the past few years, Boox has launched new products in October, so there's a chance these new devices may arrive around the same time this year.
