The Boox Note X6 has 128GB of storage and support for split-screen multitasking

Onxy has announced the Boox Note X6 as its latest note-taking E-Ink tablet. The new ePaper device brings notable upgrades over its predecessor, the Note X5 and Note X5 Mini, released in 2025.
The Boox Note X6 keeps the 10.3-inch monochrome display of the previous generation, but it is housed in a new chassis that is slimmer at 5.2mm and lighter at 365g, compared to the Note X5 which is 5.8mm thick and weighs 405g. The Note X6 should also be more comfortable to hold as the corners are now rounded instead of a right angle like those on the Note X5.
Powering the Boox Note X6 is a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q6690 a.k.a. Snapdragon 6690 processor that brings a 78% improvement in performance compared to the previous generation. There's no mention of the RAM, but the Note X6 now has 128GB of internal storage, double that of the Note X5. It also features a microSD card slot for up to an additional 2TB of storage.
Unlike the iFlytek Air 3 series, there's no camera on the Boox Note X6, so you can't scan documents with it. However, Boox's new tablet ships with a new software that is based on Android 16. The updated Boox OS brings support for split-screen multi-tasking, AI summary, and a form of circle-to-search that uses AI to explain texts or charts that have been circled on a document.
The Boox Note X6 comes in white and will be available to purchase starting on May 31 for CNY 3,299 ($487/€418). Early buyers will be able to score a discount of up to 10% at the point of purchase. There's no news yet of an international release, but if it does make it out of China, it will have to face challengers such as the reMarkable Paper Pure which has 32GB of storage, but is cheaper at $399.
