Beyerdynamic DT 275 Pro headphones promise reliable audio recording and monitoring in noisy environments

Beyerdynamic has unveiled the DT 275 Pro closed-ear headphones for audio recording and monitoring in the field and on noisy film sets. The on-ear model is designed to passively isolate background noise and is tuned for balanced sound reproduction across its 5 Hz to 24 kHz frequency range for accurate monitoring of speech and sound for professional work.

The DT 275 Pro uses passive noise isolation to block background noise while remaining lightweight at 195 g (6.88 oz.). The earcups can swivel for greater comfort. Major components including the sweat-resistant ear pads, headband padding, and cables are user-replaceable for long-term use.

The included 1.5 m (4.92 ft.) cable for 3.5 mm (1/8-inch) sources comes with a 6.35 mm (1/4-inch) adapter and locks into either the left or right jack on the earphones depending on user preference.

The headphones are available at an MSRP of $149.99 from the Beyerdynamic website and soon from the Beyerdynamic store on Amazon. While the DT 275 Pro can also be used for DJing due to its high noise isolation, Beyerdynamic says its DJ 300 Pro X (sold here on Amazon) comes with greater flexibility because its swappable earpads can be changed it for on-ear or over-ear wear.
