Marshall expands Hendrix collection with new amp, speaker and headphones

Last month, Marshall unveiled a Jimi Hendrix 60th Anniversary Acton III speaker. A further three limited-edition products have now received a makeover in the style of Hendrix's psychedelic purple, black and silver: the JMH Studio amplifier, Emberton III portable speaker and Major V headphones. While the collection pays homage to Hendrix’s longstanding association with the brand, the changes are essentially cosmetic: the underlying hardware in the headphones and speaker is largely unchanged from existing Marshall models.
The centerpiece is the JMH Studio amp, a reworking of Marshall's 1959 Studio Vintage head and cabinet. It combines a tube-driven head with a cabinet containing two 12-inch Celestion V-Type speakers. The amplifier can operate at either 5W or 20W, while the complete cabinet configuration is rated at 140W. Hand-assembled in the UK, it carries a hefty $2,499 price tag.
The Emberton III portable speaker retains the same twin 10W drivers, passive radiators, 30-hour battery life and IP67 rating as the standard model, with pricing unchanged at $180. Its only real distinction is the swirling purple finish and matching LED indicators.
Similarly, the Major V headphones get a similarly cosmetic transformation, with the purple oil-on-water pattern also applied to its inner headband and earcups. The underlying hardware remains unchanged, including 40mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3, wireless charging and a claimed battery life of over 100 hours. At $159.99, it also matches the regular Major V’s price.
