The Beelink SER8, launched last month in China, is now available globally. This mini PC packs the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, a top-end processor from the latest Hawk Point lineup. On the official store, it has a starting price of $749, which comes with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. However, if you have storage and memory lying around, you can get the barebone from MiniXPC at $499.99.
Worth noting that the SER8 mini PC can hold up to 256 GB of DDR5 RAM running in dual-channel at 5600 MHz. As for the storage, there are two PCIe 4.0 slots that can hold up to 8 TB.
Thanks to the Ryzen 7 8845HS, the Beelink SER8 has the much-known AMD Radeon 780M iGPU. With it, it can run a good number of games at respectable frame rates. The company says that the system can deliver up to 65 watts of performance. But if you want lower fan noise, you can put the mini PC into the balance mode, which will tune it down to 54 watts.
On that note, Beelink has integrated a new cooling system into the SER8. The company says that it can make the mini PC run at 32 dB, which is a reasonably low operational noise rating. There’s a new dustproof design too. It integrates a high-density metal filter to ensure minimal dust accumulation while maintaining optimal airflow.
Besides, the SER8 equips a generous number of ports. That includes two USB 2.0 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Type-C, one USB4, one HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, and one 2.5G Ethernet. The USB4 port brings eGPU support, allowing the mini PC to offer a much better gaming performance when paired with an external GPU solution (such as the GPD G1 that you can purchase from Amazon).
Other highlights include a space-saving chassis that measures 0.8-liter, triple display output support, and WiFi 6. You can learn more about the Beelink SER8 from the spec sheet and images attached below.
