Beelink GTi14: This mini-PC doesn't require a cable to connect an external graphics card and promises high speed
The manufacturer Beelink has presented a new mini-PC. There is a wide range of mini-PCs with different performance levels, but in many cases, these devices do not have a dedicated graphics card and therefore only offer limited performance, especially for games. It is not uncommon for external graphics cards to be connected, usually via OCuLink or USB4 - and with a limited data transfer rate. With the new GTi14, Beelink uses a special design that should not severely limit the bandwidth.
The mini-PC's PCIe connection is hidden behind a cover on the underside. This allows the mini-PC to be plugged into a special docking solution, which also connects the device to the mounted graphics card. According to the manufacturer, eight PCIe lanes are available and at least the PCIe 4.0 standard is supported.
The mini-PC is available in two model versions, namely with an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. The RAM is 32 gigabytes and the SSD has a capacity of one terabyte. Modern connections are available, including two Ethernet ports with a maximum data transfer rate of 2.5 GBit/s, USB Type-C with a speed of 40 GBit/s, HDMI, DisplayPort 1.4a, and several USB 3.2 Type-A ports with a speed of 10 GBit/s. There is a memory card reader on the front. It should also be possible to unlock the device with the owner's fingerprint.
In China, the model is offered at an entry-level price of around 621 euros, information on a global release is not yet available. Beelink also offers other mini-PCs on Amazon.
