The Cybertruck mini PC is getting closer to being a commercial product. It was previously showcased at Computex 2024, but very little information about the system was shared. Recently, the manufacturer listed the Cybertruck-themed computer and has also revealed a lot about the system.
To start with, the PC is called Xyber XPC, and it will be available with AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and 7840HS. These processors deliver similar performance, but the 8845HS has a faster XDNA NPU, making it ideal for AI workloads. These high-end processors can be paired with up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and 4 TB of storage.
Getting back to the design of the mini PC, it looks pretty much like a miniature Cybertruck. What's more interesting is that the chassis has doors, a bonnet, and a trunk that can be opened, just like the actual vehicle. Even the tail lights have LED inside, which will indicate whether the system is turned on or not.
There are a good number of connectivity ports too. Among all are two USB 3.1 Type-C with PD 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, and one audio and headphone combo. For wireless connections, Xyber XPC has Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6. Unfortunately, the brand hasn't said anything about a USB4 or OCuLink port, which means there's no confirmation about eGPU support yet (Minisforum UM780 XTX curr. $399.99 on Amazon).
Currently, the Xyber team is optimizing the BIOS, and the XPC Cybertruck mini PC is planned to be available in August. The initial price for the Ryzen 7 7840HS variant will be $399, which is quite reasonable, especially considering the cool-looking chassis.
