The new interactive 3D interface that Tesla debuted with the Cybertruck will be trickling down to other vehicles in its roster with the Spring Release update.
As long as their infotainment computer is powered by an AMD Ryzen processor, that is, as those "old" 2021 Model Y and Model 3 units with their weak Intel Atom chipset needn't apply.
The Cybertruck's new interactive UI is so svelte that it now has its own emulator where one can play around with the touchscreen controls.
On the pickup, the UI is displayed over the giant 18-inch central console display, where the Cybertruck is rendered in 3D.
The 360-degree image can be rotated in all directions, showing the state of the truck, down to whether the window is half or fully closed, in real time. There are control points marked along the way, for interaction with the windows, frunk, tonneau cover, or liftgate, too.
Needless to say, there is no truck bed or tonneau cover to command on the Model Y. Once the V12 UI arrives to AMD-equipped units, however, one can open the frunk and trunk from the comfort of the Model Y's cabin, as demonstrated below.
