Ayaneo has released countless gaming-focused products since its inception a few years ago. Arguably, the company has not ventured into as many market segments as GPD though, nor has it pushed as many devices as Anbernic. However, yesterday's product sharing session appears to have marked a shift for Ayaneo on both fronts.
As we have discussed separately, the company announced its first smartphone and a new sub-brand focusing on more budget devices during the same event. On top of that, it has expanded its Android 'Pocket' gaming division with what effectively amounts to an ARM-based version of the Flip 1S DS it released earlier this month.
Moreover, it has teased that it has a gaming laptop of sorts in development too. We add the caveat because the Flip 11 is an 11-inch laptop rather than the more conventional 14-inch, 16-inch or even larger display size of most gaming laptops. In that sense, the Flip 11 could be Ayaneo's rival to the GPD Win Max 2 or the OneXPlayer X1 Pro (curr. $1,499.95 on Amazon).
By the looks of things, the Flip 11 is closer in form factor to the Win Max 2 than the OneXPlayer X1 Pro. Although Ayaneo has not confirmed as much for now, the images it has shared show physically-mounted controls and a laptop-like form factor rather than a 2-in-1 equivalent. Unfortunately, Ayaneo is remaining quiet about any specifics for now.
