ThinkBook Plus Gen 6: Rollable Lenovo laptop becomes available to purchase

At CES 2025, Lenovo showcased the first consumer-grade laptop with a rollable display, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6. It was supposed to be available in Q1 2025, but that timeline has passed, and the company didn't offer any further details on the availability of the system.

Now, however, the rollable laptop is finally available to purchase, with the starting price being a whopping $3,299 on the official store. The configuration that's available comes with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, and it's paired with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. It's worth noting that the memory and storage are not upgradable.

Another thing that's worth considering is that the port configuration of the laptop isn't as great as some of the other Lunar Lake laptops. It only has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which means most users will likely find the need to use adapters for expanded connectivity.

Nonetheless, the head-turning feature of this laptop is the non-touch rollable OLED panel, which can convert from a 14-inch display to a 16.7-inch screen. Lenovo notes that the display can seamlessly extend upward, and unlike foldable phones, there's no crease.

This rollable display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness rating, and a resolution of 2000 x 1600 pixels when it's not rolled out. When the OLED panel extends, the screen will offer a 2000 x 2350 pixels resolution, and the aspect ratio will go from 5:4 to 8:9.
