It turns out that Asus is not done with the ROG NUC (2025) just yet. Initially, the company offered the gaming-oriented mini-PC with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and a choice between Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPUs (curr. $3,117 on Amazon).
While that remains true in markets like Europe and the US, Asus has expanded its ROG NUC (2025) configurations in China with two cheaper options. This time, Asus has adopted Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5060 and GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPUs, which both come with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. According to our benchmarks, the new GPU options trail the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5080 by wide margins in both synthetic and gaming benchmarks. Moreover, the GeForce RTX 5060 version drops to an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX processor.
By contrast, its GeForce RTX 5070-powered sibling maintains the Core Ultra 9 275HX from Asus' earlier ROG NUC (2025) SKUs. Currently, the former retails for CNY 16,999 (~$2,368) before applying any launch discounts or subsidies. Meanwhile, the adoption of a Core Ultra 7 255HX and GeForce RTX 5060 allows Asus to charge CNY 11,999 (~$1,671) for the latter SKU. Effectively, these new SKUs see the ROG NUC (2025) matching the NUC 15 Performance, which Asus released in Europe last week. There is no word yet on international availability for these new ROG NUC (2025) options, though.
