Asus unveiled its 15.6-inch Zephyrus G GA502DU gaming laptop in April before it became available a few weeks later for $1200 USD. Now that Computex 2019 has passed, retailers are already slashing prices on the model despite the fact that it's barely two months old. The ROG GA502DU can currently be found online for under $1000 to make it a very worthwhile deal for users looking for an affordable gaming system.
What makes this deal particularly noteworthy is that the GA502DU balances appearance with performance exceptionally well given the price point. Budget gaming laptops retailing for $1000 USD tend to be thicker, heavier, and unsightly when compared to the super-thin and often super-pricey alternatives. The GA502DU offers the best of both worlds by looking as attractive as a Zephyrus S GX531 or MSI GS65 while costing the same as a low-end Acer Nitro 5, MSI GP series, HP Pavilion Gaming, or the Dell Gaming G series.
Gaming performance is no slouch, either. Users can expect slightly better performance than a GTX 1060 to be better than most budget Pascal gaming laptops already in the market. The main downside to the Asus is its loud fan noise of almost 56 dB(A) when gaming which is louder than many competitors.
