The Asus ZenBook NX500 isn't just a premium notebook; it's a work of art. Its sleek design makes it a device you'll want to put out on display, and you won't find any screen better than its 4K touch screen. The battery life could be better, but that's a minor trade-off for an otherwise stellar system.

Silent. With the Zenbook UX305FA, Asus offers a slim, light, silent 13.3-inch subnotebook with very good battery life. A price of just under 800 Euros (~$875) also makes it affordable.

Good choice, take 2. Asus' update of the Zenbook UX305 is not extensive by any means with a Skylake m3 CPU instead of a Broadwell SoC standing out as the notable difference. In the other areas, the UX305CA inherits both the strengths and weaknesses of the predecessor, which still makes it a solid choice in our book. This time around, we are taking a look at the version of the subnotebook with Full-HD display panel.

High resolution at a cost. The UX303 series has been around since the days of Sandy Bridge, but this is the first Skylake QHD model to make it into our labs. Unfortunately, the upgrade comes with a couple of consequences.

Overall, we were hoping it would perform a bit better in our benchmarks, but we like the ZenBook UX303UB anyway. For the fair price of $1,299, it offers ample memory and storage, an adequate keyboard, and a topnotch 3,200x1,800 touch screen with wide viewing angles and sharp detail, not to mention decent audio for enjoying songs and videos.

Asus has managed to impress us again--not because of the attractive and elegant aluminum good looks of this Ultrabook... that's been the same for a few years. Sure it's still very good looking, but this time around we're impressed with how they've refined it, updated it and fixed design issues while setting an extremely competitive price that's hundreds of dollars below the big name competition.

Asus is starting off CES 2021 with a bang by improving upon its dual-screen 14-inch subnotebook with brighter displays, new hinges, and faster performance. It mostly works if you can deal with some inherent limitations.

In the notebook sector, Asus had a global market share of about 11% from 2014-2016, making it the fourth largest laptop manufacturer. In the smartphone sector, Asus is not among the Top 5 and has only a small market share (as of 2016).
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M: Upper mid-range graphics card from the GeForce GTX 800M series.
NVIDIA GeForce 940M: Mid-range graphics card of the GeForce 900M series, based on the Maxwell architecture.
NVIDIA GeForce 940MX: Mid-range laptop graphics card based on the Maxwell architecture. Compared to the older 940M, the MX now also supports GDDR5 graphics memory and maybe slightly faster clock speeds.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
Intel HD Graphics 5500: Integrated graphics card (GT2) in the Core processors of the Broadwell U-series (15 W TDP).
Intel HD Graphics 5300: Integrated graphics card (GT2) in Core M processors from the Broadwell Y-series (4.5 W TDP).
Intel HD Graphics 515: Integrated GPU (GT2) with 24 EUs found on Core-m-CPUs of the Skylake generation (4,5 W TDP).
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel produced.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4712HQ: Haswell-based quad-core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.3 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4600 GPU and a dual channel DDR3 memory controller.
5500U: Broadwell-based ULV (ultra low voltage) dual-core processor for notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 5500 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
6500U: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for thin notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Core M:
5Y10: Broadwell-based ULV dual-core processor for tablets and 2-in-1 notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 5300 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Core i5:
5200U: Broadwell-based ULV (ultra low voltage) dual-core processor for notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 5500 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Core m3:
6Y30: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for tablets and 2-in-1 notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 515 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Kaby Lake:
i7-7500U: Kaby-Lake based SoC with two CPU cores clocked at 2.7 to 3.5 GHz, HyperThreading and manufactured with an improved 14nm process.
Intel Tiger Lake:
i7-1165G7: Tiger Lake based low power quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. The four cores clock around 2.8 - 4.7 GHz. Produced in 10nm+ at Intel.

1.192 kg:
This weight is typical for big tablets, small subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 10-11 inch display-diagonal.
2.3 kg:
Usually subnotebooks, ultrabooks and quite lightweight laptops with 12-16 inch display-diagonal weigh as much.
82.5%: This rating should be considered to be average. This is because the proportion of notebooks which have a higher rating is approximately equal to the proportion which have a lower rating.
