ASUS ZenBook Flip 14 UM462’s IPS panel (BOE NV140FHM-N63 (BOE07E9)) has a Full HD resolution, good contrast ratio, wide viewing angles and covers 90% of the sRGB color gamut. Moreover, it lacks PWM, which makes it comfortable and easy to look at during long time periods.

The Asus ZenBook Flip 14 is a good convertible laptop, which has some key characteristics to it compared to the competition. The primary strength of the laptop is its performance as it is sufficient for most of the students and professionals usages and with the ability to be able to run some older games at decent graphics settings even without a dedicated GPU, not many convertible machines at this price point can manage that.

The Asus ZenBook Flip 14 is great at being a conventional laptop in that it packs a modern AMD processor with 8GB of RAM and ample solid-state storage. What’s more, it has a great keyboard and touchpad setup along with a bright and colourful screen. But it fails at being a great tablet by a considerable margin. And that’s because it’s got a disappointingly short battery life and a hefty frame. In addition, its bundled stylus could do with better on-screen response for drawing and on-board storage space.

You can choose from hundreds of laptops at various price points, all of them possibly offering betters processors, beautiful designs and even up to 12-hours of battery life. The Asus ZenBook Flip 14, however, manages to achieve the best of everything. It's got the performance, flaunts a nice design, an impressive display and a decent battery life- all this at a starting price of Rs 64,990.

Convertible laptops aren't without flaws and the Asus ZenBook Flip 14 naturally has some. But the negatives of the Flip 14 are highly outnumbered by what the ZenBook Flip 14 is good at. Of all the convertible Windows laptops I have used this year, the ZenBook Flip 14 is easily the best one that ticks all the right boxes. It's built like a tank, has more than enough performance to handle all basic computing tasks and even some casual gaming, and is quite practical to use as a tablet. I wish the battery life could have been better but at Rs 64,990, it doesn't make sense to complain much.

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.1.6 kg:
This weight is typical for very old and big tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 11-13 inch display-diagonal; nowadays, rather typical for 15 inch laptops.
