The ASUS ZenBook UX331UN is a phenomenally good ultraportable. It has class-leading battery life when you need it, but also very respectable processor and graphics capabilities when you need those too. It’s also extremely light and thin, and it looks great too.

The ZenBook 13 has been around for quite a bit now but has everything you want in a ultrabook under $1K. Nice accurate display, great processing power for normal tasks and numerous ports to extend your productivity. TouchPad isn’t the best for me but connecting a mouse might some folks. This ASUS ZenBook 13 model I been using is the UX331UN. It can be purchased on various e-tailers HERE.

The ZenBook 13 might not look quite as slick as its closest rivals, but it’s astonishing that Asus has managed to cram high specs and a decent selection of ports into a laptop this light - and at a starting price below £1,000/$1,000.

The latest ZenBook 13 from Asus isn’t a speed demon, but it has a killer display and a keyboard that’s as smooth as butter. Plus, it finally addresses a key bugbear in Asus’s laptop design.

The ZenBook 13 is a conventional laptop, so 2-in-1 hybrid fans need not apply. The build leaves a little to be desired, with noticeable flex in both the lid and keyboard, although the latter should only trouble particularly heavy-handed typists.

The Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN is a beautiful blue machine with strong performance and long battery life, but it could use a faster SSD.
