Asus ROG NUC gaming mini PC with discrete Nvidia RTX GPU starts at $1,629
Asus detailed the ROG NUC at CES 2024, and recently, it became available in the EU. Now, the company has unveiled the US pricing of the gaming mini PC. The base configuration, which comes with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and Nvidia RTX 4060, is up on the official website at $1,629.
There's another configuration on the official website, and it packs the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and Nvidia RTX 4070. This variant is listed at $2,199. These prices do make the ASUS ROG NUC one of the most expensive mini PCs on the market. But the specs are basically what you would find inside high-end gaming laptops.
For reference, you can get a 2024 HP OMEN with the same core specs as the base variant of the Asus ROG NUC at $1,699.99 at Best Buy. Then there's the 2024 Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 gaming laptop at $1,999.99. It features the same GPU and CPU as the second configuration of the mini PC.
While you do get a proper display, keyboard, and battery with those laptops, the ROG NUC has its perks. For example, the gaming mini PC supports up to three SSDs. The mini computer also comes with a versatile set of connectivity ports. Among all, there are four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one Thunderbolt 4, and two DisplayPort 1.4a.
Another highlight of the Asus ROG NUC is that it takes less space on a desk than a typical gaming laptop. That said, the company hasn't yet revealed when the gaming mini PC will be available to purchase. But it won't reportedly be before April.
