Anker has released the 521 Power Strip that lets you charge up to six devices at once. The company suggests that the gadget could be handy in a dorm or hotel room, or to declutter your desk. At the back of the 521 Power Strip are three AC outlets, with two 12 W USB-A ports and a 30 W USB-C port located on the front of the gadget.
The USB-C port is capable of high-speed charging; for example, you could charge an iPhone 13 in 90 minutes, more than twice as fast as with the original 5 W charger. When all three USB ports are in use, the power output reduces to 10 W shared across the USB-A outlets and 20 W for the USB-C port.
ActiveShield technology monitors the device’s temperature to ensure the power strip doesn’t overheat; Anker claims that the 521 Power Strip would take around one million readings overnight. The eight-point safety system also includes protection from overvoltage and surges, and LED lights on the gadget indicate when the defence is in place.
The compact device measures 4.56 x 1.96-in (~11.6 x 5.0 cm), weighs 10.4 oz (~294.8 g) and comes with a 5 ft (~1.5 m) extension cord. You can now buy the Anker 521 Power Strip for US$39.99 in black or white.
