It seems 91Mobiles has got hold of some exclusive details about the upcoming Amazfit T-Rex Pro smartwatch, courtesy of well-known tech leaker Sudhanshu Ambhore. Images of the Amazfit T-Rex Pro show it looking practically identical to the regular Amazfit T-Rex, and it is clearly built to withstand the rigors of outdoor life and inhospitable environments. While the base model is available in rock black, army green, khaki, gun grey, and camo, it appears the Pro variant will initially come in black, green, and light grey.
The Amazfit T-Rex Pro rugged smartwatch is expected to feature a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen and will offer 10 ATM water resistance, while the non-Pro version goes to 5 ATM water resistance. Additionally, the Pro model has built-in GPS and can work with GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo navigation systems. Users should also find a 390-mAh battery, geomagnetic sensor, and barometric altimeter included as part of the T-Rex Pro package. The full specs are listed below.
The Amazfit smartwatch also has typical health-related utilities, which include the BioTracker 2 PPG optical sensor. This can be used to constantly monitor heart rate and can also support blood-oxygen saturation measurement, as found in devices such as the Amazfit GTR 2. No price has been offered up for the Amazfit T-Rex Pro yet, although the current regular version of the military-grade smartwatch is priced at US$139.99.
