Amazfit GTS: Huami launches its Apple Watch imitator in India for ₹9,999 (~US$140)
The Huami Amazfit GTS has finally reached India, with Xiaomi's sister company having unveiled the device in August. The smartwatch includes a 1.65-inch and 341 PPI AMOLED panel, while it is water-resistant up to 5 ATM. Huami promises that the Amazfit GTS will get up to 14 days between charges from its 220 mAh LiPo battery too.
The Amazfit GTS runs on a version of MIUI, although the Amazon listing does not make clear which specifically. Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS and GLONASS are built-in, along with a 6-axis accelerometer, a geomagnetic air sensor and an ambient light sensor. There is no LTE though, with the device connecting to smartphones running Android or iOS.
The smartwatch comes pre-loaded with 12 sport modes too, including climbing, cycling, running and swimming among others. Its AMOLED panel also has always-on (AoD) functionality. The Amazfit GTS is available to order on Amazon.in now for ₹9,999, which currently converts to ~US$140. The listing emphasis that this is "deal of the day" pricing, with its retail price being ₹12,999 (~US$183). Amazon regularly runs deals of this kind though, so do not be surprised to see the Amazfit GTS back at around ₹9,999 again soon.
