Reviews for the Acer TravelMate P6 TMP614-54
Source: Trusted Reviews

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI is a capable Windows business laptop with solid internal grunt from its Lunar Lake processor, a competent port selection, a lightweight chassis, and excellent battery life. For the price, it’s a solid option, although I do bemoan the lack of an OLED screen in any guise. The Asus Zenbook A14 (2026) is closest in price and offers similar performance and endurance thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, while also netting a sub-1kg weight with clever materials and coming with an OLED screen. It is more of a consumer-grade laptop, and enterprise users have different requirements that Acer’s choice is more likely to fulfil. Dell’s new XPS 14 (2026) in the base model configuration I’ve tested also equals the TravelMate P6 14 AI in price, although it sacrifices portability and ports against either of the above to make it a serious contender. The Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI ticks plenty of boxes for us – and its manufacturer has special attention to not just nailing the basics but allowing these areas to contribute to substantial quality-of-life benefits that make this a compelling proposition. Firstly, it's optimized to be portable, reliable, and versatile thanks to its excellent build quality using lightweight materials and a plethora of physical and wireless connectivity options. The keyboard and touchpad are outstanding, and the IPS display is incredibly strong – with fantastic sharpness and smoothness, not to mention professional-grade color accuracy for creative work – despite a brightness level that doesn't quite hit the mark that most others do. Its graphics performance is great for a basic GPU, and its CPU performance is good enough for the vast majority of workloads. The near-12-hour battery life is also reasonable, but not as high as some competitors that can last more than 15 hours and longer.

The Acer TravelMate P6 14 AI is a lightweight design, where, unexpectedly, the battery life is exceptional. It might not have the power that AMD can unleash in the mobile space, but if I were in the market for an ultra-portable Intel system, this would be on my shortlist.

Intel Arc 140V: A pretty fast integrated graphics adapter that higher-end Intel Lunar Lake family processors employ. This is a direct successor to the Arc 8; it can drive three SUHD 4320p monitors simultaneously via HDMI 2.1, eDP 1.5 and DP 2.1. With the 140V, all 2023 and 2024 games are playable at 1080p on low graphics settings.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Core Ultra 7 258V: An upper mid-range Lunar Lake family processor. It sports 4 new Skymont E-cores and 4 new Lion Cove P-cores running at up to 3.7 GHz and 4.8 GHz respectively, along with the new Arc 140V iGPU and 32 GB of on-package LPDDR5x-8533 RAM. It essentially matches the Core Ultra 7 165U and Core i7-1360P in multi-thread performance and it eats up to 37 W when under short-term workloads.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
