The Acer Swift 3 SF314-52G-50B3 is a compact 14-incher with a brand-new ULV i7 quad-core processor and a dedicated GeForce MX150 GPU, so no need to worry about lacking performance. Acer packs a lot of computing power into the compact Swift 3 and even manages to deliver long battery life. The laptop is equipped with a robust construction that can hardly be bent in the lid or the chassis. Additionally, the edges around the screen are well built and guarantee a stable product. The entire case is made of aluminum, which is attached to the plastic inner chassis. At the same time, the Acer Swift 3 is relatively light and compact, although not as much as other 14-inch laptops on the market. It weighs around 1.5 kg and has a thickness of 18 mm, which, combined with its matte body that is not easily susceptible to scratches and smudges, makes it the ideal mobile computer. With its blunt edges and rounded corners, the laptop is ergonomic, easy to hold and use. The internal part of the body is also smooth and pleasant to the touch, with a comfortable palm rest area and a fingerprint reader for easier signing in to your Windows account. What is more, the hinges also seem to be well built and hold the screen in place, allowing the screen to be opened up to 180 degrees without problems.
The notebook is equipped with an Intel Core i5-8250U quad-core microprocessor at 1.6 GHz, 8 GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD, an integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2 GB of GDDR5 dedicated memory. However, we should note that the CPU, GPU, and RAM are soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. The display of the Acer Swift 3 has a Full-HD panel with an IPS matrix. It is protected by high-quality Corning Gorilla Glass. The diagonal measures 14 inches (35.56 cm), while the resolution amounts to 1920 x 1080p. The Acer Swift 3 has comfortable viewing angles. Further specs include an aspect ratio of 16:9, a pixel density of 157 PPI and a pixel pitch of 0.161 х 0.161 mm. The Swift 3 does not emit much noise at any time. The fan and the entire laptop remain mostly silent when idling or under light load. Even under maximum load, the fan barely speeds up. Acer has chosen a 3-cell battery with a capacity of 48 Wh that does what it was designed for well enough. However, the company could have picked a slightly larger battery considering the fact that there is plenty of room in the body. Nevertheless, thanks to its efficient hardware configuration, this laptop manages to exceed 7 hours of real autonomy (Wi-Fi navigation).

NVIDIA GeForce MX150: Pascal GP108 based laptop graphics card and mobile version of the desktop GeForce GT 1030. Offers 384 shader cores and usually 2 GB GDDR5 with a 64 Bit memory bus. Manufactured in 14nm.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.
The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
