Acer Spin 1 is a really good looking and compact device. If you are not much into gaming and want a simple device for your routine daily work then you can definitely go for this one. Priced at Rs 30,999, it is a good buy. The device is convertible and also has a brand value attached to it and is better than the recently launched iBall CompBook Aer3, which falls under the same price segment and offers much less when compared to the Acer Spin 1.

The Acer Spin 1 has a combination of features that you might not get in any other laptop in the same price range. It compromises on performance and overall build quality, delivers with an impressive screen and MS Office pre-installed. It’s a laptop worth considering.

The Acer Spin 1 might be priced like a budget laptop, but it hardly feels like one with an all metal build and Full HD screen. It’s just a shame it doesn’t pack more power.

The Acer Spin 1 is a little slow and basic, but the folding touchscreen design, decent screen and battery life, and rock-bottom price make it the ideal travel companion or secondary laptop.

Acer Spin 1 SP111-31-C79E
Usually in the PC market space its very common to see mainstream units or even high-end models taking the headlines however in actuality the real market movers are basic models such as the Acer Spin 1. While spec wise the Acer 1 may not seem earth shattering it is actually quite decent for your average consumer. Taking a look at the spec white sheet the Acer Spin 1 sports an Intel Celeron N3450, 4 GB of RAM and 500 GB of standard hard disk storage. Construction and chassis-wise the Acer Spin 1 is mainly made out of a two tone plastic chassis which does have a brushed metal texture. Overall the chassis is well constructed and is solid enough despite not being made out of aluminium or even magnesium alloy on higher end models. In terms of IO there aren’t much surprises as this is mainly a budget convertible, mainly to note here the Acer Spin 1 has 3 USB A ports and 1 HDMI port. Next would be user input, Acer has chosen to go with the chiclet styled keyboard which is quite common among manufacturers. The keyboard has a slightly rough texture for better finger grip, keystrokes are about shallow at best but still provides a decent amount of feedback which should still satisfy most typists out there. As for the touchpad, it is quite large taking up almost one third of the bottom half, it also has a smooth surface which makes gliding on it quite satisfactory. Because this is a convertible it is also worth mentioning that the LCD panel is touch enabled, with up to 10 touch points. The LCD remains quite responsive and accurate to touches and can also be used with an active stylus. Despite being 11.6-inches, the display is an IPS FHD based panel which means colors are accurate and vibrant, this panel also does provide a wide range of viewing angles which is a plus considering its price bracket in the market. Moving over to the Acer Spin 1’s aural capabilities it scores decently well although bass seems to be lacking. Another downside would be that the volume seems to feel lackluster even when at the maximum setting. Otherwise listening experiences should be left with the use of headphones or external speakers. As the Acer Spin 1 is powered by an Intel Celeron N3450 power consumption remains low with battery life topping out at 9 hours 24 minutes which is very impressive when compared to its competitors of the same class. Verdict being the Acer Spin 1 may not impress most people in terms of hardware oomph but it provides satisfactory processing power for simple office use. Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N-P9VD
The Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N-P9VD is a convenient convertible laptop. The Spin 1 is a great convertible at a fair price, for those who are looking for an office work tool or a device for using streaming services. With four modes to choose from, namely laptop, tablet, display or tent, finding the right fit for every need has never been easier. With 1.2 kilograms, a height of 15 millimeters and a simulated office operation of more than 10 hours, the Spin 1 also grabs the mobility crown. For the current convertible, the hardware is in an elegant and high-quality aluminum chassis. With a little effort, a user can open the display and lock it in the desired function. The display holds the position astonishingly well in every position, which is an advantage because the hinge is usually a known weak point in convertibles. Despite the metal case, the Acer Spin 1 is still sturdy in the hand in tablet mode. Power and volume buttons are located on the right side edge. Despite the narrow 1.41 inch (3.58 cm) high case, the keyboard offers a good stroke with a pleasant crisp writing. The Precision Touchpad is more responsive than traditional touchpads helping user work more effectively. However, the mouse replacement could be a touch smoother. But, thanks to the touchscreen, the touchpad plays a minor role. For creative possibilities, the convertible relies on the Acer Active Pen and Windows Ink to take full advantage of the touch display. The Acer Active Stylus enables accurate and direct on-screen digital ink input providing a natural pen-on-paper experience. The Acer Spin 1 brain is an Intel Pentium N4200 processor, which tackles up to 1.1 GHz and is supported by a 4 GB of RAM. Although this is not a lot of RAM, the performance is good enough for office applications and non-demanding games like Hearthstone, which makes it even more intuitive to play with touch displays. However, using it for more demanding tasks such as video editing is not an option, because neither the processor nor the RAM is sufficient. As for storage, it has only 64 GB of internal flash memory, which is very little. Applications can eat up a lot of capacity and error during a system reset could occur because Windows does not have enough memory for the process. With an 11-inch IPS screen in Full HD, users can enjoy display with rich and crystal clarity. Since it is an IPS display, it is easily viewable clearly at angles of up to 178° while maintaining the same level of high-quality color. The touchscreen also supports 10-point touch input with integrated sensor technology. Hence, it can recognize multiple touch gestures providing easier navigation and interaction. The built-in HDMI port also makes it easy to connect an external monitor or TV. For connectivity, the Acer convertible comes with Bluetooth and a WLAN 2x2 802.11ac module. The Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N-P9VD will best suite light home users. It does well on the media end but performs below average on the multitasking end. Our Spin 1's 9-hour-plus showing in our battery rundown test wasn't enough to make it a segment leader, but that's still a very usable amount of time off the plug. Add in plenty of ports and a stylish design, and a better value at this price point is tough to find.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.
Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
Intel HD Graphics 505: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Apollo Lake series.
Intel HD Graphics 500: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Apollo Lake series.
Intel UHD Graphics 600: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Gemini Lake series. Compared to the HD Graphics 500, the 600 offers improved display outputs. Compared to the faster UHD Graphics 605, the 600 offers less shaders at lower clock speeds.

Intel Pentium:
Pentium N4200: An Apollo Lake family, quad-core, ultra-low-power processor (SoC) that saw the light of day in 2016. Its four CPU cores run at 1.1 GHz to 2.5 GHz; these are not Hyper-Threading-enabled meaning there are no additional threads. This chip has a fairly competent integrated graphics solution, the Intel HD Graphics 505, and eats very little (~6 W). The Pentium N4200 is based on the Goldmont CPU microarchitecture that came to replace Silvermont (2013), bringing with it several welcome improvements. The CPU is Secure Boot-compatible; technically, it will have no issue running 64-bit Windows 11. The average N4200 in our database competes with the Core i5-3339Y, a low-power SoC launched in 2013, in multi-thread performance.
Intel Celeron:
Celeron N3450: Frugal quad-core SoC from the Apollo Lake series for inexpensive notebook. Runs with clocks between 1.1-2.2 GHz and integrates a DirectX 12 capable graphics adapter. Compared to the previous Atom generation, the per-MHz performance of the CPU architecture was vastly improved and the graphics adapter was improved as well.
Celeron N3350: An Apollo Lake family, dual-core, ultra-low-power processor (SoC) that saw the light of day in 2016. Its two cores run at 1.1 GHz to 2.4 GHz; these are not Hyper-Threading-enabled meaning there are no additional threads. This chip has a fairly competent integrated graphics solution, the Intel HD Graphics 500, and eats very little (~6 W). The Celeron N3350 is based on the Goldmont CPU microarchitecture that came to replace Silvermont (2013), bringing with it several welcome improvements. The CPU is Secure Boot-compatible; technically, it will have no issue running 64-bit Windows 11. The average N3350 in our database is just as fast as the venerable Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 is in multi-thread loads; the two cores of this Celeron trail behind a single core of any half-decent CPU such as the Intel Core i3-7130U.
Intel Gemini Lake:
Celeron N4020: A slow dual-core processor (SoC) of the Gemini Lake refresh product family. The Celeron runs at 1.1 GHz to 2.8 GHz and features a DirectX 12 capable UHD Graphics 600 integrated graphics adapter. An undeniably low-end product, this CPU is designed for use in laptops and mini-PCs of the most affordable kind.
