Reviews for the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 CP714-2WN

90% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023) review: The very definition of Chromebook Plus
Source: Android Central English
Acer didn't rock the boat too much when it comes to the Chromebook Spin 714 (2023). It has plenty of power thanks to Intel's 13th Gen processor, and you can already enjoy all of the new Chromebook Plus features. For the money, this is the best Chromebook that you can buy. But, Acer also decided to get rid of the stowable USI stylus, and there's still no fingerprint scanner. We're hoping that one of these days, Acer creates a Chromebook that is devoid of any compromises.

60% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 review: One step forward, one step back
Source: PC World English
The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 is a decent ChromeOS 2-in-1 that fails to stand out from the crowd. It’s attractive, offers an excellent keyboard, and includes plenty of connectivity. Battery life and performance are mid-pack, however, and the laptop’s $699.99 MSRP feels a bit steep for the hardware on tap. In fact, I actually prefer Acer’s older Chromebook Spin 514, which has a larger touchpad and longer battery life, over this model. There’s nothing particularly wrong with the Spin 714, but nothing particularly right, either.

100% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 review: The best business Chromebook gets a refresh
Source: It Pro English
There are areas in which you could argue the Spin 714 falls behind its predecessor, particularly the lower-resolution screen. Yet overall it still succeeds as a powerful, well-designed Chromebook that can handle hard work, chats and meetings, collaboration, and a little entertainment after hours. It's slightly more expensive than your average Chromebook, but the great build and quality screen are both worth paying the extra for. This is the new champ of reasonably-priced business Chromebooks, and very easy to recommend for enterprises of all sizes.

100% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023) review: The new king of premium Chromebooks
Source: Expert Reviews English
Sure, we’d like a higher-resolution screen, but in every other respect the new Spin 714 is the Chromebook to beat. The display is still fantastic, its performance and battery life are stellar, and it’s great to use both as a working laptop and a versatile browsing and video-streaming device. The bundled stylus is excellent, and the keyboard and touchpad don’t let the side down, either. While the Asus Chromebook Vibe CX34 Flex gives it serious competition, often at a slightly lower price, I’d say the Spin 714 is worth the little extra. Unless you want a bigger screen or an even slimmer, lighter design, this is the premium Chromebook to buy.

90% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023) Review
Source: PC Mag English
The newest Chromebook Spin 714 adds another Editors' Choice trophy to Acer's shelf. It keeps everything we loved about the previous version—an excellent display, versatile convertible design, and ample connectivity—but adds better performance and longer battery life at a slightly lower price. With durable, stylish construction and performance that's among the best you can get in a Chromebook, it's frankly hard to find anything to complain about, making the Spin 714 easy to recommend again.

Acer Chromebook Spin 714 Review: they nailed this one [VIDEO]
Source: Chrome Unboxed English
At a starting price of $699 (it’s been on sale a few times already), the Spin 714 makes a compelling case as one of the best Chromebooks you can buy right now. While not a huge overhaul from last year’s model, this Chromebook builds upon the great foundation already laid by the last Spin 714. It might not be revolutionary, but in a marketplace that often pushes for radical change, there’s something to be said for steady, thoughtful iteration. Acer has focused on refining their Spin 714 lineup, and the result is a device that feels meticulously crafted and well-considered. In short, they nailed this one.

90% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 (2023) review: a perfect back-to-school laptop
Source: Creative Bloq English
The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 comes in two builds (three if you count the US-only model), the cheapest is the Intel Core i3, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD model for around $549 / £599 while the model reviewed here, and one I'd recommend, is the 12th-Gen Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM and 512GB build. The US-only 13th Gen Intel Core i5 is exceptional value, and hopefully this, and a price cut, will come to the UK soon. If you're interested in getting a powerful ChromeOS laptop that will last you through college, the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 is a good buy. If you're hooked on Windows or Apple then you'll probably happily pay around $400 / £400 for, say, a 2022 MacBook Air. But the Acer Chromebook Spin 714 will last, and Google's suite of apps feature everything you need to get through basic college tasks.

90% Acer Chromebook Spin 714 review: A sub-$700 laptop with great battery life
Source: Laptop Mag English
The Acer Chromebook Spin 714 is the best Chromebook Laptop Mag tested this year. It’s got great battery life (over 12 hours), competition-beating performance, and an attractive 2-in-1 design — all for less than $700. Hell, the HP Dragonfly Pro Chromebook has a jaw-dropping $1,000 price tag and can’t even match what the Chromebook Spin 714 offers. Its only flaws are its quiet sound system and it’s not as lightweight as one might expect, but those are negligible foibles. Say hello to the newest addition to our best Chromebooks page (I’ll also let it sit at the best laptops under $1,000 table, too.)

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.

Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.

88.57%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
