Model: The Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N-P9VD is a convenient convertible laptop. The Spin 1 is a great convertible at a fair price, for those who are looking for an office work tool or a device for using streaming services. With four modes to choose from, namely laptop, tablet, display or tent, finding the right fit for every need has never been easier. With 1.2 kilograms, a height of 15 millimeters and a simulated office operation of more than 10 hours, the Spin 1 also grabs the mobility crown. For the current convertible, the hardware is in an elegant and high-quality aluminum chassis. With a little effort, a user can open the display and lock it in the desired function. The display holds the position astonishingly well in every position, which is an advantage because the hinge is usually a known weak point in convertibles. Despite the metal case, the Acer Spin 1 is still sturdy in the hand in tablet mode. Power and volume buttons are located on the right side edge. Despite the narrow 1.41 inch (3.58 cm) high case, the keyboard offers a good stroke with a pleasant crisp writing. The Precision Touchpad is more responsive than traditional touchpads helping user work more effectively. However, the mouse replacement could be a touch smoother. But, thanks to the touchscreen, the touchpad plays a minor role. For creative possibilities, the convertible relies on the Acer Active Pen and Windows Ink to take full advantage of the touch display. The Acer Active Stylus enables accurate and direct on-screen digital ink input providing a natural pen-on-paper experience.

The Acer Spin 1 brain is an Intel Pentium N4200 processor, which tackles up to 1.1 GHz and is supported by a 4 GB of RAM. Although this is not a lot of RAM, the performance is good enough for office applications and non-demanding games like Hearthstone, which makes it even more intuitive to play with touch displays. However, using it for more demanding tasks such as video editing is not an option, because neither the processor nor the RAM is sufficient. As for storage, it has only 64 GB of internal flash memory, which is very little. Applications can eat up a lot of capacity and error during a system reset could occur because Windows does not have enough memory for the process. With an 11-inch IPS screen in Full HD, users can enjoy display with rich and crystal clarity. Since it is an IPS display, it is easily viewable clearly at angles of up to 178° while maintaining the same level of high-quality color. The touchscreen also supports 10-point touch input with integrated sensor technology. Hence, it can recognize multiple touch gestures providing easier navigation and interaction. The built-in HDMI port also makes it easy to connect an external monitor or TV. For connectivity, the Acer convertible comes with Bluetooth and a WLAN 2x2 802.11ac module. The Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N-P9VD will best suite light home users. It does well on the media end but performs below average on the multitasking end.

Intel HD Graphics 505: Integrated low-end graphics adapter with DirectX 12 support, which can be found in some ULV SoCs from the Apollo Lake series.

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

Pentium N4200: An Apollo Lake family, quad-core, ultra-low-power processor (SoC) that saw the light of day in 2016. Its four CPU cores run at 1.1 GHz to 2.5 GHz; these are not Hyper-Threading-enabled meaning there are no additional threads. This chip has a fairly competent integrated graphics solution, the Intel HD Graphics 505, and eats very little (~6 W). The Pentium N4200 is based on the Goldmont CPU microarchitecture that came to replace Silvermont (2013), bringing with it several welcome improvements. The CPU is Secure Boot-compatible; technically, it will have no issue running 64-bit Windows 11. The average N4200 in our database competes with the Core i5-3339Y, a low-power SoC launched in 2013, in multi-thread performance.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

11.60":

This is a standard display format for tablet computers or small convertibles. You see more on the screen than on a smartphone but you can't use big resolutions well. On the other hand, mobility is not a problem.

Acer: In 1976, the company was founded in Taiwan under the name Multitech and was renamed Acer or Acer Group in 1987. The product range includes, for example, laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitors, TVs and computer peripherals. Since 2007, the group has merged with Gateway Inc. and Packard Bell, which also market their own laptop product lines.

Acer computers are designed for a variety of purposes, including ultrabooks for mobile use, gaming laptops for gamers, affordable options for everyday tasks, and 2-in-1 convertible laptops for versatility. Acer's product portfolio also includes tablets that offer portable computing and multimedia capabilities.

88%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
