AYA is bringing the AYA NEO NEXT to Indiegogo, a device revealed at the start of January. Initially unveiled with the Ryzen 7 5800U, AYA subsequently switched the NEO NEXT to the newer Ryzen 7 5825U. On paper, little separates the two APUs. For example, both rely on Zen 3 cores and have eight cores that support Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT). The Ryzen 7 5825U has a 100 MHz CPU boost clock increase, so it remains to be seen if the Ryzen 7 5825U outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800U in real-world tests.
Currently, AYA has published a preview of the AYA NEO NEXT Indiegogo campaign. As it stands, AYA has not confirmed when the campaign will launch, but it will be sometime next month. The company is also encouraging people to sign up for the campaign's newsletter, which will contain a 'secret discount' on launch day. According to Liliputing, AYA hopes to begin shipping AYA NEO NEXT orders in March, too.
Seemingly, the AYA NEO NEXT will cost nearly US$1,000, even through Indiegogo. Initially, the company sold the Advance Version, not available with a Ryzen 7 5825U, for between US$1,265 and US$1,465. Those prices included up to 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage for reference. Based on AYA's announcements to date, the standard NEO NEXT will be available with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB or 2 TB of storage.
