AOC unveils new 24.5-inch gaming monitor with 360 Hz refresh rate

AOC has revealed a new gaming monitor in its home country of China, dubbed the Q25G11SE6. This 24.5-inch monitor sports a Fast IPS display with a healthy set of features, likely designed to appeal to those who find a 27" panel too big for their liking.

The panel sports a resolution of 2560 x 1440, which allows for a decent pixel density of just under 120. Being a gaming monitor, the Q25G11SE6 supports high refresh rates up to 360 Hz. The IPS panel will undoubtedly suffer when it comes to contrast compared to mini LEDs and OLEDs of the world, and AOC's claim of a 1300:1 ratio confirms the same.

Of course, the AOC Q25G11SE6 is likely to be an affordable product, which makes the lack of an OLED panel much less upsetting. Folks who care about colors will be pleased to note that the panel covers an impressive 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, with a ΔE of less than 2, at least in sRGB mode. Peak brightness is claimed to be around 400 nits in HDR and 350 nits in SDR.

There are no speakers installed, nor is there any support for ergonomic adjustments except for tilt. Folks who need any other adjustment capabilities will have to utilize a VESA mount.

Other notable details of the Q25G11SE6 gaming monitor include:

• DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), HDMI 2.1 (up to 320 Hz)
• Picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture support
• 0.3 ms MPRT and 1 ms GtG response times
• AMD FreeSync support

Pricing and availability details are yet to be shared by AOC. As mentioned earlier, the specs do seem to suggest that the Q25G11SE6 gaming monitor will be an affordable offering.
