AMD launches Radeon RX 9050 at $279 with OEM-only variant
AMD has added the Radeon RX 9050, its latest budget RDNA 4 graphics card for 1080p gaming.
As we recently reported, ASRock listed both 8 GB and 4 GB versions of the Radeon RX 9050 ahead of AMD's official launch. AMD has now confirmed that the 4 GB model is reserved for OEM systems and will not be sold separately. ASRock also lists the OEM variant with a 64-bit memory interface, while the retail model uses a 128-bit bus.
The RX 9050 is based on the Navi 44 GPU and features 16 Compute Units, 1,024 stream processors, 16 ray accelerators, 32 AI accelerators, and 32 MB of Infinity Cache. Boost clock speeds reach up to 2,600 MHz, while display connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b.
AMD shared several 1080p gaming benchmarks for the RX 9050, with the graphics card reaching 60 FPS in 007: First Light, 96 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, 131 FPS in Forza Horizon 6, and 85 FPS in Pragmata. The company also reports up to 593 FPS in Valorant and 227 FPS in Counter-Strike 2 using High settings.
The Radeon RX 9050 will launch first in Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Latin America with a suggested retail price of $279. AMD has not announced when the graphics card will be available in North America or Europe.
