A new leak points to a 12GB RAM option for the OnePlus 8T
OnePlus has already confirmed that the upcoming 8T will be a departure from its immediate predecessors as it will have a flat display, rather than one with a profound curve to each long edge as in the 8 flagship series.
Its latest teaser video, a showcase of its phone designs from its inaugural One mobile device to a momentary glimpse of the latest model itself, sets this aspect of its esthetics in stone. It may also confirm a new colorway (a shade of green that varies somewhat from the Glacial shade debuted earlier in 2020) in the process.
Another, less official, leak may indicate that this new style may be paired with up to 12GB of RAM in the new phone. It comes in the form of a recent Geekbench 5 listing for a OnePlus KB2000, which, like the KB2001 before it, is now thought to be a model number for an 8T variant.
As if to lend more credence to this new tip, both sets of Geekbench listings show Android 11 as the OS in question here: OnePlus has also already stated that the 8T will run this major software upgrade out of the box. It will presumably be based heavily on the stable Open Betas that can be run on the existing 8 and 8 Pro flagships at present.
