OnePlus 8T: leakers claim to reveal its camera specs and footprint ahead of its launch
The OnePlus 8T is slated to be a premium device with the Snapdragon 865 processor on its October 2020. Now, the well-known tipster OnLeaks claims to know how much space it will take up.
Following on from a post concerning renders for this phone to which the same leaker contributed, these new indications are that it will be 162.8 millimeters (mm) high, 75.5mm wide x 8.4mm in depth (or 9.3mm if taking its rear camera module into account).
This would mean that it would be a little shorter than its immediate predecessor the 8 Pro, if also a little shorter. The two phones would share the same thickness. Given that the 8T is to have a 4500mAh battery - a spec officially confirmed by the OEM itself - this point is plausible at least.
Meanwhile, the emerging leaker Yogesh now asserts that, despite earlier rumors of a 64MP main sensor for this device, the OnePlus 8T will have 48+16+5+2MP rear cameras. They will cover wide, ultrawide, depth and macro functions respectively.
This may mean that the late-2020 product will lose the telephoto lens found in its previous generation, the 7T. However, according to Yogesh, the 8T may retain this phone's 16MP wide-angle selfie camera. This tipster has also claimed to have heard that it will be released for sale on October 16, 2020.
