The latest examples of LG's Q line of mobile devices represent an attempt to cut into the middlle tiers of their market. Its newest update is the Q92, recently launched in Korea with the same Snapdragon 765G SoC as the Velvet, albeit with a slightly less premium build and a different rear camera configuration.
The series also encompasses the rather more budget, MediaTek Helio P35-powered Q61. Now, it seems that LG is planning yet more along these general lines, possibly for 2021. According to a trademarking application reportedly made to the Korean intellectual property authority KIPRIS on September 25, 2020, they are to be called the Q43, Q63S and Q83.
Therefore, it seems LG may be adding a new, even more cost-effective model to its new line, while also including slightly higher-end offerings. Accordingly, they may be priced anywhere from less than the Q61's ~US$300 price to less than the Q92's starting cost of ~US$420.
