LG launches new mid-range K62, K52, and K42 smartphones
LG is on a roll with smartphone announcements recently and it is back once again, this time expanding its line up of 2020 K-series smartphones. There are three new models for those looking for an upmarket design aesthetic but at a more affordable asking price. The LG K62 model is the best specced of the three with the new LG K52 and K42 sit beneath it.
The LG K62, K52 and K42 all offer unspecified octa-core chipsets with the K62 and K52 sharing the most powerful chip clocked at 2.3 GHz while the K42 chip is clocked at 2.0GHz. Both the K62 and K52 also sport 4GB of RAM although the K62 picks up 128 GB of storage while the K52 gets 64 GB -- the K42 comes with 3 GB of RAM mated to either 32 GB or 64 GB of storage. All models support microSD expansion.
Another area where all three new models all share the same capability is the battery department with 4,000 mAH batteries all around. They all also share the same 6.6-inch 20:9 HD+ FullVision LCD panel. Similarly, in the camera department all three K models feature quad-camera arrays on the rear. The K62 and K52 both sport the same specifications with a 48 MP main shooter, a 5 MP ultra-wide module, a 2 MP Macro lens and a 2 MP depth camera. The LG K42 drops down to a 13 MP sensor for the main camera, but otherwise shares the same specs.
The LG K52, K52 and K42 will arrive in October in Europe followed by key markets in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East with pricing details to be confirmed.
