It seems as though Logitech may be planning a series of updates to its Lightspeed high-performance wireless gaming mice, with what appears to be an insider briefing showing off a lightweight version of the G305 Lightspeed and a new mini version of the G Pro X Superlight.
The leak, which was shared to r/MouseReview on Reddit, reveals a series of updates to Logitech's popular gaming mice, with 8 kHz polling, Hero sensors, and relatively lightweight designs.
Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2C details
Likely the biggest news to come out of this Logitech leak is that there may be a Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2C coming soon, which would seemingly be a smaller version of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight. How small exactly the mouse will be is as-yet unknown, but the presentation slide confirms that the Superlight 2C is designed for "small hands." Pricing is again unknown, but the G Pro X Superlight 2 is currently available on Amazon for $129.99, down from the MSRP of $179.99, so it's unlikely the Superlight 2C will be a cheap gaming mouse.
The specifications that are shared in the leak include a Hero 2 sensor with 8 kHz polling, Lightforce switches, up to 95 hours of battery life, and a weight of 53 g. That's by no means the lightest gaming mouse on the market, but it's a good ~15% lighter than the current G Pro X Superlight. This suggests that the G Pro X Superlight 2C may be around 10–15% smaller than the current Pro X Superlight.
The leak also suggests that the G Pro X Superlight 2C will only launch as a right-handed symmetrical design, so left-handed mouse users are out of luck here.
Logitech G305 Superlight details
The Logitech leak also makes mention of a new G305 "Trek," which sports both a new white colour and a label indicating that the symmetrical gaming mouse will feature a lightweight design. There's not much to go on for specifications for what may become the G305 Superlight Wireless, but the label above the preview image of the G305 in question indicates that it will be lightweight.
The current Logitech G305 Lightspeed comes in at 99 g estimated weight and can be had for as little as $29.95 on Amazon. A Superlight version of the same mouse may provide an affordable, lightweight Logitech mouse to compete with what has become a torrent of cheap gaming mice out of China.
The leak also shows off new pink and lilac colourways for the Logitech G502 Hero gaming mouse, which will be a nice alternative for cosy gaming setups and gamers who are simply sick of all-black peripherals.
