Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC delayed

Earlier this month, Pearl Abyss announced the first DLC for Crimson Desert called ‘Charting the Unknown.’ It was set to release on October 15 on all platforms, but it now looks like the DLC will not be completely ready by its original release date. Not to worry, the delay isn’t that long, though it does coincide with another title release.

Through an update on X, Pearl Abyss has shared that they need more time to deliver a “more polished and stable gameplay experience.” Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown will now release on October 29, after a two-week delay. Given how quickly the developers have updated the game and listened to player feedback, fans in the comments are mostly supportive of the announcement.

Charting the Unknown brings naval and underwater exploration, new enemies, a political conflict, a possible relationship mechanic, and more. It is a paid DLC priced at $25 and has been available for pre-order since the original announcement. With the new release date, the DLC will coincide with the release of Phantom Blade Zero, but that shouldn’t affect sales for either.

With Crimson Desert Enhanced, the developers made some story improvements and delivered it as a free update. It came with patch 2.00.00, which also brought the first-ever discount. The game is back to full price now.
