Xbox teases Wolverine-themed controller to go with Deadpool
Microsoft has unveiled yet another Marvel-themed controller to complement the one themed after Deadpool's rear end. It keeps the same theme but replaces Deadpool's butt with Wolverine's backside. It is Wolverine yellow and will be unveiled soon via an announcement on Instagram (and likely other social media platforms) under the #MicrosoftCheekySweepstakes banner.
Unfortunately, it isn't clear if you can purchase the Wolverine controller à la carte. It'll probably be given away via a promotional event (18+ only, like last time), likely before Wolverine and Deadpool hits theaters on July 26. A recent teardown revealed the extra padding on Microsoft's Deadpool controller is a magnetic attachment, and this one might use the same design.
If true, anyone lucky enough to own both controllers can mix and match attachments for interesting results. Of course, you'll have to put it aside while gaming (and to change batteries) because it's great for aesthetics, not functionality. If the Xbox controller supported wireless charging, it would have made for a great battery bank; giving an entirely new meaning to fanny pack.
