Vivo Pad2 tipped to launch as 144Hz display tablet in three colors by end of April 2023
Vivo's next product event is believed to be particularly significant, as it may introduce a second-gen Pad as well as its new X Flip and X Fold2. It is now said to take place on April 20, 2023 in the OEM's native China. The 2 foldables thought to be involved are the subject of hot discussion in recent leaks; however, the tablet, which not also capable of bending, is also now tipped to launch as a substantial upgrade over its predecessor.
The Vivo Pad2 is indeed now backed to emerge as more premium than the Pad, as a slate with a 144Hz display driven by the Dimensity 9000 SoC, not to mention keyboard dock support. Then again, it is also now said to differ from the OPPO Pad 2, also known as the OnePlus Pad, in that its 2.8K screen will measure 12.1 inches, as opposed to 11.61 inches for its putative counterpart.
The "Pad2" is also now thought to launch with Vivo's 44W charging tech for its 10,000mAh battery (rather than 67W in the latest OPPO/OnePlus tablet), and to have 12GB RAM and 256-512GB internal storage options (whereas the OnePlus Pad does not).
The upcoming Vivo slate is also linked to dual (13+2MP) rear cameras, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. Finally, despite all these rumored upgrades, the Pad2 is now rumored to come in the same colors as its forebear: gray, blue or purple.
